Shenango Valley Corvette club meets on the first Sunday of each month at the Shenango Valley Chamber of Commerce Founders Room in downtown Sharon, Pa. Along with the members sharing their passion for Corvettes, the club organizes and participates in many social and civic events each year. Events include participating in community parades, poker runs, weekly summer cruise-ins, out of town car shows (such as Corvettes at Carlisle), dinners, and picnics.

The Shenango valley corvettes club supports the Shenango Valley Antique Automobile Association in sponsoring the Corvette classes during their annual Father’s Day Car Show in Hermitage. Shenango Valley Corvette Club was also a major contributor to the Mercer County Historical Society in their purchase of the 1915, Sharon manufactured, Twombly tandem cycle car.

Shenango Valley Corvette Club is an active member of the Western Pennsylvania Corvette Club Council (WPCCC), which consists of thirteen western Pennsylvania clubs that join together for the camaraderie and love of their cars, and have hosted the annual weekend event several times.

Other events include two all Corvette cruise-ins, spring and fall, at the Quaker Steak & Lube, Sharon. The Shenango valley corvettes club also supports the downtown Sharon merchants with their annual Rock ‘n Roll Cruise in August.

Each year the SVC club holds a holiday dinner and recognizes the achievements and contributions of the members and officers. A special award is given to the Shenango valley corvettes club member who has accumulated the most miles on his or her car during the season.

Shenango Valley Corvette Club is dedicated to supporting many local charities including the Mercer County Children’s Aid Society, Hermitage Goodfellows, the American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, and the Salvation Army of both Mercer and Trumbull Counties. Donations to these charities are funded by the Annual Spring Classic Dance and Chinese Auction held annually in March at the Yankee Lake Ballroom.

The Shenango Valley Corvette Club welcomes new members. Membership forms can be obtained on-line at the web site or from any club officer.
